Several years ago I created a Virtual Assistant business called ‘The Healthy VA’.

The clue is in the name.

It was one of the first Virtual Assistant services to specialise in the health and wellness industry and for the first few years, I owned the niche (in Australia at least).

In 2014, becoming a VA was still a relatively new career move as they were mainly considered offshore jobs in places like India or the Philippines. However, I soon discovered that there were hundreds of local small business owners desperately needing my support, and particularly those in the health and wellness space.

The Nutritionists, Naturopaths, Health Coaches, Doctors, and Physiotherapists I met were experts in their field, but most didn’t have a clue how to send a newsletter, set up a social media channel or update a website. That’s where I stepped in.

Becoming a Virtual Assistant was the ultimate career booster for me. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, learnt new skills and became a more confident businesswoman as a result.

So, if you’re interested in becoming a Virtual Assistant and working for an industry that promotes health and happiness…
