Here’s to clean oceans and a plastic-free planet.

Last week, I did something that made me feel really good — I invested in Zero Co, whose mission is to ‘untrash the planet’.

Twenty-one million tonnes of plastic flow into our oceans every year — that’s one truckload every single day!

Zero Co offers a simple yet essential solution to single-use plastic waste:

  • They take plastic from the ocean and landfill, and turn it into dispensers and refill pouches for cleaning products.
  • As a customer, you buy a set of dispensers that become your ‘forever bottles’. These include spray bottles, hand pumps and squeezy bottles.
  • You also buy the first round of pouches and fill up your dispensers with cleaning liquids, such as multi-purpose spray, dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid, hand wash, body wash and bathroom cleaner.
  • Then, you send the empty pouches back to Zero Co using their pre-paid envelope, so they can wash and refill them.
  • When you use up all your cleaning products, you order the refill pouches again, have them delivered straight to your door, and the cycle continues.
